We are seeking an Accounts Administrator for the Subcontractor Dept to join our company and work daily account tasks that will support the Commercial & Finance Team. You will help the Department run smoothly, ensuring transparency and efficiency in all transactions.

What you will be doing:

  • Collaborate with Commercial, Procurement & Finance Team to maintain subcontract accounts
  • Processing invoices daily, facilitating activities between QS/Site & Subcontractor Liaising with Procurement, Site, GRN, & Other Departments to resolve queries on invoices and any other business outlined by them Communicating with Suppliers on invoice queries and providing updates on subcontractor account payments
  • Processing payments ensuring adherence to Group Company procedures & Revenue Guidelines
  • Facilitating Site project/sub-accounts set up through Revenue On-Line
  • Reconciliation of subcontractor statements/accounts
  • Reconciliation of Creditors & Subcontractor Retentions at month-end
  • Bi-annual UAT Test Scripts updates (ie Testing processes & functionality on 365)
  • Annual external audit & internal audit (when required)

 

Who we are looking for:

  • Experience as an Account Assistant with capability and confidence to work on own initiative
  • Knowledge of basic accounting methods
  • Familiarity with Revenue & Relevant Contracts Tax (RCT)
  • Excellent ability to organize and coordinate tasks. The ability to manage various workload volumes is essential as that might fluctuate daily
  • Good knack to spot numerical errors & problem solve
  • Proficiency in MS office and data entry, working knowledge of Microsoft 365 software is a plus
  • Organization skills, verbal and written communication skills
