Murphy is recruiting for a Project Manager - Dublin Port to work with our Transportation & Infrastructure team in Dublin Port.

What you will be doing:

  • To be fully accountable for the delivery of the projects, ensuring it is completed safely, on time, inaccordance with the contract requirements and to budget.
  • Sets the overall standard on the projects/contract.
  • Ensure the project requirements are identified and delivered.
  • Identify issues and ensure they are resolved in a controlled and timely manner.
  • To ensure contract programmes are planned, reviewed, and delivered.
  • Line management of Site Managers, Site Engineers and Section Managers.
  • Responsible for effective client relationship management, collaborative approach and providing updatesto internal and external stakeholders on project/contract progress.
  • Endure risk assessments are created, in place and reviewed as and when required.
  • Will be expected to resolve most operational issues with any business-critical issues referred to theProject Director and Contracts Manager.
  • Responsible for all commercial activities associated with the project including the delivery of the grossmargin, management of cost control and other key commercial and financial metrics.
  • Overall performance management of subcontractors of the gross margin, management of cost control andother key commercial and financial metrics.

 

Who we are looking for:

  • Hold Civil Engineering, Construction Management Degree or a relevant trade certificatio
  • Experience in Construction Contracts in particular Public Works Contracts and NEC.
  • Experience within a Project Managerial role.
  • Experience in managing complex site-based projects.
  • Experience of working on large public civil infrastructure projects.
  • Marine experience would be beneficial.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to develop close working relationships with clients andsubcontractors
