Murphy is recruiting for a Onboarding & Supply Chain Coordinator to join our team at BMJV (Bouygues Murphy Joint Venture) to work on delivering the UK’s longest road tunnel beneath the River Thames, the exciting Lower Thames Crossing project.
A day in the life of a Murphy Onboarding & Supply Chain Coordinator
- Manage subcontractors’ onboarding, ensuring compliance with the Joint Venture’s and Client’s requirements
- Administer key project systems such as training management and access control systems
- Create and maintain onboarding documentation, welcome packs, process guides and communications to ensure consistency and clarity.
- Assist subcontractors with onboarding queries, system access, and understanding project processes and expectations
- Support internal and external audits relating to workforce compliance and supply chain onboarding
- Analyse process performance and recommend improvements
- Maintain accurate workforce and supplier records across People & Culture, Procurement and site systems
- Collaborate with People&Culture, Procurement, Commercial, Security, Delivery Teams and supply chain partners to ensure seamless onboarding and mobilisation.
- Communicate clearly and confidently with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior project personnel, Client, subcontractors and Joint Venture partners.
- Contribute to building a positive, inclusive and high performance project culture from the point of onboarding
- Management of Procurement inbox including suppliers’ expression of interest
- Logging suppliers’ expression of interest on BMJV's digital systems and conducting due diligence
- Attending supply chain events with client and other delivery partners
- Assist in organising BMJV supply chain events
- Ensure People & Culture documentation (in relation to social value, EDI, skills employment and education) is included in subcontractors’ tender packs and regularly liaise with Procurement to ensure these are up-to-date
- Assist in reviewing and scoring tender submissions in line with agreed social value/EDI criteria and scoring frameworks
- Lead the onboarding process for new subcontractors, clearly outlining EDI and social value targets, available support, reporting expectations and compliance requirements.
- Regular liaison with subcontractors to monitor progress against EDI, skills and social value commitments, offering guidance, troubleshooting issues and ensuring continuous improvement
- Collect quarterly reports, validate data submissions, chase outstanding information and ensure accuracy of KPI reporting
- Plan, organise, and host the Quarterly Supply Chain Forum to share best practice, discuss performance, highlight challenges and foster collaborative improvement
- Work closely with Procurement, People & Culture teams to streamline processes, support integrated workflows, and maintain effective communication across functions

What happens next
