Murphy is recruiting for a Data Analyst to work within our Energy division, to help deliver major energy infrastructure projects in partnership with our clients across the UK. This role will be based out of our Leeds office.

A day in the life of a Murphy Data Analyst:

• Working as part of the PMO and closely with the Planning and Project Controls Functions, projects in the portfolio and business reporting stakeholders to understand reporting, performance and analytical requirements.
• Handle and process large and complex datasets (e.g. Primavera P6) and other key construction centric systems, and verify the integrity of extracted data.
• Develop and present reporting & performance information in suitable formats e.g. PowerBI, Excel for a wide range of stakeholders.
• Drive through data and performance improvements by linking, analysing and maintaining core data sets.
• Promote accuracy of data sets by adopting a ‘single source of truth’ approach.
• Help establish good working practices for the work delivered.
• Liaising with planners, engineering, commercial, operational staff and senior management to implement performance improvements.
• Providing user training, support and feedback as required.
• Build effective relationships with all relevant stakeholders.
• Provide support and guidance to other team members.
• Ad hoc activities as deemed appropriate by the Head of PMO.
• Design and develop applications and workflows using Power apps and Power Automate to streamline and automate business data processes.

• Knowledge and practical experience with Primavera P6 and PowerBI, Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse

• Advanced user of MS Excel, and Power BI.
• Confident in developing dashboards and performance metrics.
• Working knowledge of ETL and data ingestion (API knowledge).
• Understanding of relational databases and data modelling
• Experience within construction and/or civil engineering processes and applications.
• Happy to travel nationwide across multitude of Murphy projects
