Murphy is recruiting for a Senior Receptionist to work with our Facilities team in Newbridge. As Murphy Ireland continues to grow at a rapid pace and more staff are on-boarded, there is a requirement to ensure the Head Office at Newbridge has a full-time senior receptionist to cover the office . A full-time (5-days) per week permanent member of staff is required to ensure appropriate support is provided.
Operating in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada and the USA, Murphy provides better engineered solutions to infrastructure sectors including transportation, water, power and natural resources. So that our teams out on projects can run smoothly it is vital that we have robust support functions in place.

What you will be doing:
- Maintain Reception desk at Newbridge to a high standard of order, presentable at all times
- Ensure a professional image is maintained at all times with relevant Company literature on display to promote the Murphy Group.
- All telephone calls, both internal and external, are answered and dealt with efficiently and promptly and messages are taken and relayed when appropriate – “Good Morning Murphy Ireland…. “
- Open and distribute incoming post to relevant Murphy personnel.
- Responsible for maintaining incoming and outgoing post at reception area.
- Ensure all visitors sign in and out in order to maintain accurate records at all times of visitors in the business. Greet all visitors in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring the relevant person is informed, in a timely manner, of their visitor on arrival. Offering refreshments where necessary.
- Assist and direct colleagues to stationery and equipment supplies, as required. · Organise refreshments for meetings as and when required. · Ensure fully trained and conversant with all associated duties as required (i.e. courier DPD / postal services,) · First Aid and Fire Warden support – training will be provided.
- Provide backup and support to Office Manager during busy periods/annual leave.
- Potential additional responsibilities of a Personal Assistant to Executive Management in the future

- A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and take initiative
- A willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities, including supporting the Office Manager and potentially progressing into a Personal Assistant role
