Main Purpose of Role:
Due to a recent internal restructure, we are recruiting a Plant Yard Supervisor for our yard in Newbridge. As part of this hands on role you will be responsible for daily supervision of the plant yard team including all day to day activities. The successful candidate must possess strong leadership skills, be a great communicator, a team player with a can do attitude and have an excellent attention to detail.
Role Duties:
- Supervising yard team in daily tasks.
- Ensure assets are controlled and recorded as per internal Murphy procedures.
- Ensure assets are all to a high standard when going on hire.
- Conducting daily briefings for yard staff.
- Ensure health & safety compliance on all activities.
- Assist team in yard tasks when required.
- Ensure yard housekeeping is to a high standard.
- Liaise with hire and transport team regarding outgoing and incoming plant.
- Liaise with Workshop foreman to prioritise repairs based on necessity.
- Ensure various yard Inspections and logs are completed as per Murphy processes.
- Responsible for carrying out quarterly asset count.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Must have Construction Plant Hire experience.
- Telehandler ticket essential.
- Strong knowledge of Health & safety and safe work practices.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
