Murphy is recruiting a Finance Intern to work with our Finance Manager to support our Finance function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting and tax compliance
Main Purpose of the Role
To provide operational and administrative support to the Finance team, ensuring accurate financial processing, compliance with internal policies, and timely delivery of financial information.
Role Duties
- Accurately record financial transactions in the accounting system, ensuring all records are complete and up to date.
- Assist with monthly bank reconciliations by matching bank statements to internal financial records and investigating discrepancies.
- Assist with the verification and processing of supplier invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Provide assistance during internal and external audits by compiling required documentation and responding to information requests.
- Assist with credit card bookings and reconcile the monthly statement to the accounting system.
Qualifications & Skills
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Working knowledge of basic accounting and financial principles.
- Understanding of financial reporting and budgeting processes.
- Previous experience in finance, accounting, or data entry is an advantage
