Murphy is recruiting for a Assistant Planner to work with our planning Team within ur Energy and Industry division.

What you will be doing:
- Supporting the planning and delivery of allocated projects and tenders, ensuring programmes are effectively developed, monitored and delivered on time and profitably. You will assist with planning across smaller projects or sections of larger projects.
- Assist with tender and contract planning in line with procedures and contract requirements.
- Help prepare integrated programmes from first principles, identifying scope, constraints and resources.
- Produce planning deliverables including programmes, narratives and reports.
- Update programmes with change events, progress and mitigation measures.
- Ensure programmes are robust, contract‑compliant and peer‑reviewed.
- Maintain accurate archives of all planning documents.
- Communicate programme information clearly to project teams and stakeholders.
- Support project managers in effective project control and timely delivery.
- Validate and integrate supply chain and consultant programmes.
- Maintain accurate planning and progress records and provide transparent reporting.
- Analyse project performance and support improvement measures.
- Support identification and management of change, delay and disruption.
- Support work‑winning teams in targeting and securing projects.
- Ensure planning deliverables meet governance requirements.
Who we are looking for:
- Proficiency in the use of planning techniques.
- Understanding of construction techniques, methods and processes.
- Awareness of contract administration
- Understanding of the principles in the use of planning software (Microsoft Project ,P6, Asta).
- HNC or equivalent.
- Ideally Degree educated, preferably in a Construction / Engineering discipline
