Murphy is recruiting for a Planner  to work with Murphy Applied Engineering on Contract/Location.

Under the banner of Murphy Applied Engineering, our in-house teams include civil, structural, mechanical, geotechnical and process engineers. They design both permanent and temporary works for projects in all our locations and are a trusted source of expert advice for both Murphy colleagues and external customers.

 
A day in the life of a Murphy Planner

• Prepare CL31 (NEC) programmes, including reviewing the outcome for conformance with expectations and requirements, with support from design/engineering team
• Produce programme updates in line with the information provided by the team (engineers, etc.)
• Produce and maintain CL32 (NEC) programmes ready for submission in the appropriate time scales
• Prepare narratives to support submissions
• Prepare visual material using planning methods to drive effective and efficient delivery.
• Manage personally controlled project documentation in an orderly fashion.
• Provide a link between all parties regarding the planning community information.
• Provide support for reporting and project controls within the managed projects.

• Some experience within a Planner role.
• Experience within Civil Engineering / Construction preferably within Design/Pre-construction.
• Use of planning software (P6, MS Project).
• Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
• Knowledge of Power BI desirable.
