Murphy is recruiting for a Social Media Content Creator to work with our Communications team based out of Kentish Town with UK wide travel. 

Do you love finding a story and sharing it in a creative, engaging way?

If so, we have just the role for you – as an experienced communications professional with a blend of specific video and social media experience, you will be responsible for capturing and sharing the stories of our teams across our projects.

Operating in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada and the USA, Murphy provides better engineered solutions to infrastructure sectors including transportation, water, power and natural resources. So that our teams out on projects can run smoothly it is vital that we have robust support functions in place.

A day in the life of a Murphy Social Media Content Creator

  • Capturing video and photography content on our projects and editing into formats ready for sharing across our channels.
  • Working as part of a small team, you will be responsible for the content creation for our LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and brand new TikTok account - we will be looking to you for fresh perspectives and input.
  • Collaborating and engaging with teams from across the company to unlock the stories and share them in engaging and fresh ways.
  • Manage, organise and maintain our video library.
  • Other Communication Team duties as required.

  • Creative flair with a passion for social media and digital culture - understanding its quirks and how to get the best out of the platforms, whilst maintaining a strong company brand and culture.
  • Professional-level technical ability in all aspects of filming and video editing software including Premiere Pro and Adobe Express.
  • Friendly and flexible approach to best capture the variety and scale of our projects and the teams behind them.
  • A full UK driving license is essential along with the flexibility and ability to routinely travel nationwide.This role is office-based and expected to be fully mobile.
