Murphy is recruiting for a Analyst to work with our Group Engineering team based out of Kentish Town.

A day in the life of a Murphy Analyst

  • Support the Engineering team across Site Engineering, Design Management, Quality, Technical Expertise & Design Delivery, Digital Engineering, & Innovation
  • Data Analysis; Collect, clean, and analyse data from various sources including digital tools and platforms to identify trends, patterns, and performance metrics
  • Reporting; Generate clear, concise reports and dashboards for the leadership team feeding from the data and provide associated narratives as required
  • Digital Tool Support: Provide support and training for the digital field tools used on-site, ensuring data is collected accurately and consistently.
  • Performance Monitoring: Help track and report on the performance of our design consultants and supply chain partners, and linking this through to tools for their selection on upcoming projects.
  • Innovation & Process Improvement: 
    Identify opportunities to use data to improve engineering processes, quality control, and project delivery.
    Data Management: Assist in the development and maintenance of robust data management systems to ensure data integrity, security, and accessibility.

 

Still interested, does this sound like you? 

  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role, with a strong understanding of data analytics principles.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Azure, SQL, Data Lake, Synapse Analytics and business intelligence software such as Power BI.
  • Experience with data visualization and creating effective dashboards and reports.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data to non-technical stakeholders and engage well with a diverse range of people.
  • A background or strong interest in the civil engineering or construction sector is preferred but not essential.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or Engineering is preferred.
