We are looking for a motivated Level 3 IT Apprentice to join our PMO and Project Support team. This is a apprenticeship role designed for someone starting their career in project management and business analysis. You will gain hands-on experience working alongside project managers, business analysts, and finance teams, supporting key business initiatives, budgets, test management, and prioritisation of projects.

This apprenticeship will provide exposure to the full project lifecycle, helping you develop practical skills in project coordination, business analysis, and financial management, while building a strong foundation for a career in IT or business operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Project Support & Management

  • Assist project managers with planning, scheduling, and tracking project tasks and milestones.
  • Support project meetings by preparing agendas, taking notes, and tracking actions.
  • Help maintain project documentation, including risk and issue logs.
  • Track project deliverables and provide updates on progress to team members and stakeholders.

 

Business Analysis

  • Assist in gathering and documenting business requirements for projects.
  • Help create process flows, user stories, and supporting documentation.
  • Support the analysis of business problems and contribute ideas for solutions.
  • Work with stakeholders to clarify project objectives and scope under guidance.

 

PMO & Governance

  • Assist in maintaining PMO tools, trackers, and dashboards.
  • Support adherence to project governance processes and standards.
  • Help ensure projects are aligned to business priorities and compliance requirements.

 

Budget & Financial Management

  • Support tracking of project budgets, including expenditure and forecasts.
  • Assist in preparing reports for stakeholders on budget and resource utilisation.
  • Monitor financial approvals and ensure project spending aligns with allocated budgets.

 

Business Prioritisation

  • Help assess project requests and support prioritisation exercises.
  • Assist in maintaining a clear overview of ongoing projects and business priorities.
  • Support decision-making processes by providing accurate and timely information.

 

Test Management Support

  • Assist in planning and coordinating test activities for project deliverables.
  • Support the creation of test scripts, logging of defects, and reporting of outcomes.
  • Help ensure testing aligns with project timelines and quality standards.

 

General Responsibilities

  • Work closely with colleagues to learn about project management, business analysis, and PMO processes.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all assigned tasks.
  • Participate in team meetings and training opportunities to develop skills and knowledge.
  • Demonstrate a proactive and positive approach, with attention to detail and willingness to learn.

What do I need to be considered for the apprenticeship?

  • GCSE Maths and English at grade A*- C / 4-9 (or equivalent)
  • You don’t need to have previous experience for the role, but you do need to be ready to learn, have a positive mindset and a can-do attitude!
  • Eligible to work in the UK with a valid work permit if applicable. Please note, that we do not provide sponsorship.

Where will I be based on the apprenticeship?

This role will be based from our office in Warrington.
