As a Logistics supervisor, you will be a key member of our team, playing an integral part in the success of the business. We are looking for a highly organised, adaptable individual who thrives in a fast-paced ever-changing environment. The ideal candidate will be a natural communicator with a positive, proactive attitude, eager to contribute to the growth of the company and be part of our winning team.
A day in the life of a Murphy Logistics Supervisor
- Management of a 15-vehicle fleet
- Ensure that drivers comply with drivers’ hours and tachograph rules and with speed limits.
- Ensure that vehicles are maintained, including PMIs and defects remedied
- Management of vehicle and driver defects
- Ensure all records are accurate and kept for a period of no less than 15 months.
- Ensure compliance with ADR Regulations
- Monitor the DVSA Operator Compliance Risk Score (OCRS) system
- Investigate all road-side checks by DVSA
- Utilise the company vehicle tracker system for the control of HGV Drivers.
- Keep up to date with changes to transport legislation, attending relevant training as required.
- Plan the development of HGV drivers through periodic driver CPC training.
- Ensure reporting of Health & Safety incidents in line with Group expectations.

- Must have previous logistics experience
- Possess extensive knowledge of transport regulations
- Experience within a construction/engineering or similar background would be beneficial
- Literate and numerate with proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and other office applications.
- Experience of managing people and developing talent.
