Murphy is recruiting an Water Mechanical Engineer to support our expanding Water & Wastewater portfolio, delivering full design‑to‑operation solutions for Uisce Éireann, Northern Ireland Water and other key clients, underpinned by our commitment to delivering safely, responsibly and to the highest standards.
What you will be doing:
- Ensure accuracy of data and clarity of design concepts throughout all project stages.
- Produce work that meets project programme outputs and allocated man‑hour budgets.
- Ensure equipment performance aligns with project and client requirements.
- Deliver all outputs in line with the agreed programme and project milestones.
- Provide high‑quality work that reflects positively in manager and project team feedback.
- Contribute to strong client relationships, demonstrated through indications of customer satisfaction.
Who we are looking for:
- BTEC / HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Experience using Autodesk 3D and 2D CAD packages.
- Ability to develop conceptual arrangement drawings and high‑level architectural visuals at proposal stage.
- Ability to produce detailed pipework layouts and mechanical support details.
- Capable of adapting plans and designs to changing project circumstances.
- Ability to follow designs from initial outline through to site installation and commissioning.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Full driving licence.
- Knowledge of legislative safety and design standards.
- A team player with the ability to work autonomously when required.
