Murphy is recruiting for a CAD Designer to work with Energy in Dublin.

What you will be doing:
- Develop general arrangements, alignments, cross sections, and detailed design drawings to ensure clarity and precision in Power system projects.
- Create junction layouts, traffic management plans, signing, and lining to enhance safety and functionality for HV substation and cables projects
- Produce 2D and 3D CAD deliverables across feasibility, design, and construction stages for comprehensive project representation.
- Serve as the trusted point of contact for engineers, ensuring consistency and high-quality output.
- Manage mapping, surveys, and background information to maintain organisation and alignment throughout the project.
- Lead self-checks, peer reviews, and CAD deliverables to ensure accuracy and efficiency from the outset.
- Coordinate CAD information across multiple project streams, including Drainage, Lighting, Landscaping, Traffic Signals, and Structures, to avoid clashes and inconsistencies.
- Support Design Managers and Engineers in bringing concepts to life, ensuring seamless collaboration.
- Assist with drawing registers, submissions, and revision management to streamline project workflows.
- Help respond to audits and technical reviews to maintain compliance and project integrity.
What we are looking for:
- At least 3 years of experience in Power system projects including HV substations and cables.
- Skilled in using CAD and Microsoft office.
- HV substation and cable background knowledge is desirable.
- Possesses excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
