Murphy is recruiting for a Streetworks Coordinator to join our growing Infrastructure team, delivering water infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects in partnership with Thames Water, as part of the AMP8 framework.

Murphy is a long-standing delivery partner to leading water clients across the UK and Ireland, including Thames Water, Severn Trent, Northern Ireland Water, Yorkshire Water, SES Water, Bristol Water, South East Water, and Uisce Éireann, where we operate over 25 facilities under full DBOM contracts.

 

A day in the life of a Murphy Streetworks Coordinator

  • Planning all aspects of Major works for Lot 5 Capital Delivery and ensuring continual flow of works for operations in compliance with current legislation.
  • Control and audit planned work re-allocation following jeopardy management interventions to ensure abort rates are maintained.
  • Monitor Clients system to deliver client specific requirements if required
  • Communicate with operational staff to identify critical areas of delivery. 
  • Receive and record data onto work management systems
  • Update management systems within specific timescales and deliverables with the contract requirements
  • Have appropriate paperwork including parking bays , bus stops etc in place for the work to begin. 
  • Maintain close working relationships with local authorities and the client
  • Any other administrative duties related to your business area as requested by your line manager

  • Experience working for a civil engineering company or Principal Contractor, particularly in street works would be beneficial but is not essential
  • Experience in an Administrative role
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced role
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced Contract Environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience with working on Microsoft Office packages with advanced skills on Microsoft Excel
  • Experience working on bespoke systems
