Murphy is recruiting for a QC Inspector to work with our Energy and Industry team on a large Solar Farm installation in Co. Cork.

What you will be doing:
- Carrying out quality inspections of complete solar installation from mechanical piling and PV framing to DC and LV cabling to solar inverters and medium voltage transformer stations.
- Assisting in setup and commissioning of all associated electrical equipment.
- Preparation and implementation of all onsite inspection test plans.
- Carry out onsite inspections of civil, mechanical and electrical installations with a high level of details.
- Prepare method statements and risk assessments.
- Monitor progress against the program and issue progress reports.
- Assist with the preparation of technical and contract documentation for issue.
- Complying with specific project safety requirements
- Preparation and interpretation of technical specifications and enquiry documentation
- Ensure compliance with ISO, NSAI, design standards and client requirements
- Produce drawings: SLDs, layouts, schematics and schedules.
- Approve detailed design covering all aspects of high, medium & Low voltage equipment and control and protection systems
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders
Who we are looking for:
- NCC Level 6 electrical minimum
- 2+ years’ experience working in the electrical construction industry (desirable)
- Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and AutoCAD
- Good technical capabilities, teamwork abilities and initiative.
- Strong written, oral and numeracy skills
