Murphy is recruiting for a QC Inspector to work with our Energy and Industry team on a large Solar Farm installation in Co. Cork.

What you will be doing:

  • Carrying out quality inspections of complete solar installation from mechanical piling and PV framing to DC and LV cabling to solar inverters and medium voltage transformer stations.
  • Assisting in setup and commissioning of all associated electrical equipment. 
  • Preparation and implementation of all onsite inspection test plans.
  • Carry out onsite inspections of civil, mechanical and electrical installations with a high level of details.
  • Prepare method statements and risk assessments.
  • Monitor progress against the program and issue progress reports.
  • Assist with the preparation of technical and contract documentation for issue.
  • Complying with specific project safety requirements
  • Preparation and interpretation of technical specifications and enquiry documentation
  • Ensure compliance with ISO, NSAI, design standards and client requirements
  • Produce drawings: SLDs, layouts, schematics and schedules.
  • Approve detailed design covering all aspects of high, medium & Low voltage equipment and control and protection systems
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders

 

Who we are looking for:

  • NCC Level 6 electrical minimum
  • 2+ years’ experience working in the electrical construction industry (desirable)
  • Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and AutoCAD
  • Good technical capabilities, teamwork abilities and initiative.
  • Strong written, oral and numeracy skills
