As a steel erector, you will be responsible for assembling and installing structural steel components on our sites, your expertise and attention to safety will be essential in facilitating the successful completion of various structural steel projects.

 What you will be doing:

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, and specifications to understand the scope of work and steel erection requirements.
• Coordinate with the Supervisor, and other team members to plan and schedule the sequence of steel erection activities.
• Safely and efficiently put erectors to work and keep to piece count / programme.
• Ensure communications with HSEQ Advisor.
• Monitor and adhere to all safety procedures and regulations to create a safe work environment. Duties include Safety paperwork, Adhering to Hold Points.

Who we are looking for:

• Experience in Structural Steel
• NVQ Level 3 in steel Erecting - Desirable
• CSCS – Gold Card, or, working towards  
• Valid UK driving licence - Mandatory
• Slinger signaller – Advantageous
• Working away from home will be expected.
• Highlight erection drawings and communicate progress to senior managers.
• Accurately populate digital daily dairies with progress.
