Job Title:  BIM Engineer

Murphy is recruiting an BIM Engineer to support our expanding Water & Wastewater portfolio, delivering full design‑to‑operation solutions for Uisce Éireann, Northern Ireland Water and other key clients, underpinned by our commitment to delivering safely, responsibly and to the highest standards.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Manage the production of fully coordinated, multi-discipline models, drawings, and schedules in 2d and 3d.
  • Ensure design development aligns with the Project BIM Execution Plan, including regular coordination meetings, model checks, and consistent sharing of model data across the design team.
  • Act as the liaison between Mechanical & Electrical designers and Civil & Structural designers to maintain seamless integration.
  • Manage the creation and ongoing maintenance of the Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP) throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in design and drawing reviews, and support feasibility studies as required.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify requirements and establish timelines for deliverables.
  • Interpret instructions from engineers and produce accurate drawings with minimal supervision.
  • Apply initiative and technical knowledge to assist the CAD team, while fostering growth in CAD software proficiency and related tools"

 

Who we are looking for:

  • The prior knowledge, skills and experience required of the CAD / REVIT / BIM Engineer are outlined as follows:
  • 3rd level qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering,Building Services Engineering or Strong trades background coupled with a BIM qualification.
  • A minimum of 3+years’experience within a BIM Co-ordination function.
  • Mechanical or Electrical background and have a proven track record in a similar role
  • Experience in Revit model and Family Creation
  • Experience in Navisworks manager
  • Experiencein BIM 360
  • Experience working to timelines in a project environment
  • Ability to work off their own initiative but also as part of a project team
