Murphy is recruiting for a Stakeholder & Compliance Manager to work with the Energy Team on the SSE ASTI Framework.

A day in the life of a Murphy Stakeholder & Compliance Manager:

  • Manage and execute stakeholder engagement strategies across ASTI projects.
  • Support and management of relationships with SSEN, councils, community groups, and statutory consultees.
  • Participate in public consultation events and ensure transparent, responsive engagement.
  • Oversee strategic messaging and issue resolution related to access, infrastructure, and project impacts.
  • Lead the Social Value function, ensuring governance procedures are followed and outcomes tracked.
  • Support the implementation initiatives including STEM engagement, apprenticeships, and workforce development.
  • Coordinate and lead SV Activities between PI&O team and delivery streams, ensuring that all activities planned and carried out in line with Murphy procedures.
  • Manage internal and external communication process, including media, community updates, and strategic messaging in line with the framework strategy.
  • Ensure consistent messaging aligned with Murphy’s brand and project objectives throughout the wider framework.
  • Support the E&S team, driving carbon management and sustainability strategy, ensuring alignment with net-zero targets.
  • Support compliance with environmental obligations and legal requirements.
  • Coordinate with the E&S team with the securing of necessary consents and approvals from councils and local landowners.
  • Coordinate engagement with external stakeholders including SEPA, SNH, and local authorities.

  • Proven experience in stakeholder management, social value delivery, communications, sustainability, or environmental compliance.
  • Strong understanding of Project Management principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive strategic outcomes.
  • Familiarity with data collection, CRM or similar stakeholder management platforms
